How I'd Style the Zodiac Signs: Virgo

welcome to my new series called “How I'd Style the Zodiac Signs”! today i’m starting with Virgo (since we are in virgo season, of course).

virgos are known for keeping their cards close to their chest, being studious, and put- together, which draws me to a clean girl aesthetic mixed with academia for their wardrobe.

For virgo’s color palette, earth tones are perfect! i mean they are an earth sign after all, and earth tones complement their grounded nature. in conjunction with this time of year being on the cusp of Fall, i would stay in the realm of brown undertones, mauve shades, and deep greens.

Now onto the wardrobe!

Tops

this is a sweater by Cecilie Bahnsen. I love how the top of this sweater is basic and has clean lines but then adds a dash of playful femininity on the bottom with the skirt-like trim. virgo’s are represented by the maiden, so having touches of femininity is a great way to balance out a virgo’s wardrobe.

I love this leopard cardigan by Reformation. the fitted, basic silhouette ties into the clean girl look, but the print adds character.

here we have another Reformation top, which stands more in the academia/tailored style. I love the feminine touches in the peter pan collar and eyelet ruffle sleeves.

Reformation is a great place for a virgo to shop. they have a lot of elevated, clean looks that tie in femininity and fun patterns.

Oversized button ups are a great staple for a virgos wardrobe, they are so versatile and an easy-go to.

Bottoms

a structured denim wide leg adds a polished touch to a casual outfit that can be dressed up or down

trousers are another perfect staple for a virgo’s closet! especially in this plum wine color to play into the earth tone color palette.

this is another Cecilie Bahnsen piece, and i’m obsessed with it! the midi length adds a bit of modesty, the structured a-line silhouette keeps it clean, and the bows add a feminine touch.

Shoes

Ballet Flats are a staple item and perfect for a virgo’s closet

kitten heels are the ideal heel height for a virgo! they aren’t too suggestive but still add a little elevation to any outfit.

a mid-shin brown boot too is a great Fall-forward shoe and would pair SO WELL with the Cecilie Bahnsen skirt!

For jewelry and accessories, gold is perfect complement to the earth tones, and a thin watch is a must-have accessory that a virgo can wear with anything!
